Whitelist-Warden
Privacy Policy
WhitelistWarden.com is operated by BOT-HOLDINGS, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the
website collects. (It does not describe the Whitelist-Warden software itself, which runs on your own
server and is covered by its own documentation.)
What we collect
When you request closed-beta access (the signup form), we collect the details you enter: your name,
email address, and — only if you choose to provide them — your website/server URL, server stack, and a short
note about what you’re protecting. Only your name and email are required.
Automatically, like most websites: your IP address and basic request metadata via our hosting and CDN
(Cloudflare), and — if you consent — analytics data (see Cookies).
Why, and the legal basis
- To run the closed beta and reply to you — on the basis of your consent (the tick box on the form) and
- Security and delivery of the site — our legitimate interest in keeping the site available.
- Analytics — only with your consent.
our legitimate interest in operating the beta. We do not add you to any marketing list and we do not sell
or share your details.
Who processes your data
- Cloudflare, Inc. — CDN and security in front of the site (sees request metadata / IP).
- Forward Email, LLC — carries the signup email to us.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, only if you consent via the cookie notice.
- Our WordPress host (Namecheap shared cPanel).
Some of these are US-based; where required, transfers rely on the appropriate safeguards.
Cookies & analytics
The site sets no first-party tracking cookies itself. If you consent, Google Analytics 4 sets `_ga` /
`_ga_*` cookies to measure traffic. Cloudflare may set `cf_clearance` / `__cf_bm` for security/bot
management. You can decline analytics in the cookie notice and withdraw consent at any time by clearing
cookies.
Retention
Beta-signup details are kept only as long as needed to run the beta and evaluate your request, and are
deleted when the beta closes or on your request. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your details, or to stop contacting you, at any time — email
[email protected]. If you’re in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your data
protection authority.
